February 1827 Henry Cruso, silk merchant and bankrupt was called upon to surrender. His estate was said to be below £20 when Letters of Administration were granted to his widow on 2nd March 1887 at Lichfield. It was subsequently discovered that Henry had a share in his father's life interest in £2000 under a settlement made on the marriage of Henry's mother and father in 1786.
